Visions, Blessings and Glories of God

THIS WORLD IS GLORIOUS!

I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS ` Matthew 28:20

My morning walks this year have been glorious! I am blessed to see His wonders everywhere! Overwhelming peace and contentment enters my heart as I see the sunrise and feel the warmth of His love.

And I know He is with me always!

I have felt His spirit of peace and enlightenment as I share my walk with a dear friend and talk about the beautiful moments in our lives. I see His mercies, and blessings all around and I know that my Father knows me, really knows me, and is bestowing each blessing my heart desires.

And I feel such joy to know He is there.

Is there a time in your life that you have felt such joy that you couldn’t contain yourself? Where do you feel this joy is coming from? Is there a Heavenly Father or God in your life that blesses you each and every day?

THE SPIRIT OF GOD

This morning as I finished walking and was about to head home, these words came to my mind. “The visions and blessings and glories of God”, rang with such clarity, and I felt their truth so deeply. These words came from a Hymn in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Hymnbook, titled, ‘The Spirit of God’. It was written by William W. Phelps and was sung at the Kirtland Temple Dedication in 1836.

They too felt the Spirit of God so profoundly that day.

DIFFICULT TIMES ARE PREVAILING ... BUT

To be clear, in all my joy, I haven’t missed the fact that this is a very difficult time for everyone on the earth. Just this last week, a Hurricane devastated the eastern coast, war is breaking out in Israel and the political arena is getting pretty heated ... but, what is the most heartbreaking ... is that most people can’t see that “the veil o’re the earth is beginning to burst”!!

This week, our Church leaders have witnessed to the world of the reality of a living Christ. Their purpose is to prepare us for the coming of our Lord and Savior. This really makes my heart leap for joy!

And I feel that the glory of God is reaching my heart in so many ways!

SING AND SHOUT AND GIVE GLORY TO HIM

I see blessings and miracles abounding in my life so that I want to sing and shout and give glory to Him, even though, and maybe because challenges are everywhere ... but, so is the Spirit of God!

Another part of this story is that, even though this year started out better than last year, I have continued to feel down and lifeless ... until I realized I was experiencing another ‘Season of Discontent’. Thankfully as soon as I realized this I also knew why I was feeling so low. Every time my Heavenly Father needs me to step up, He allows me to see that this is not the place I want to be, emotionally, physically, spiritually or mentally.

He knows me and that I am in need of a change ... a change of heart.

STEP UP TO HIGHER AND HOLIER WAYS

I began my change with a spiritual journey that would remove the burdens I have subconsciously been packing around for quite awhile. Now, after 10 weeks into my journey, it is amazing to see how much physical strength I have gained and how much more I can accomplish in a day.

My Saviors Atonement has been the most amazing tool to help me find joy in my daily living. As I have removed the burdens that have been weighing me down, I have found time and energy to serve people around me and have felt angels lifting and encouraging me along the way.

And my joy seems endless.

PLEASURES FOR EVERMORE

With this joy, I find that I want to serve better, and be better. This journey has been the blessing I was seeking! I now see with new eyes and I’m excited to move forward and to build a life that keeps me on this path of awe and wonder ... a fullness of joy ... pleasures for evermore!

“Thou wilt shew me the path of life; in Thy presence is fullness of joy; at

Thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” ~ Psalms 16:11

“The visions and blessings and glories of God” continue to lift my heart and my eyes to a Father who loves me completely.

The beautiful thing is that He also loves you! No one is overlooked ... His plan of happiness is all about you and it’s all about me!

He knows who we are and He knows what we need.
