A CO-CREATOR WITH GOD

We are all involved in the work of being a co-creator with God. As most of you know, I have spent about 50 years creating works of art and learning the process that helps us bring out the creator within. I love the journey of coming up with an idea and working it through until I have my final creation. This is the work of being a co-creator with God, and you are a part of that work. Did you know that you are the creator of your divine destiny?

I have shared this quote from President Thomas S. Monson before, but I feel it fits with my purpose and calling in life and I hope yours also.

“God left us the world unfinished for man to work his skill upon. He left the electricity

in the cloud, the oil in the earth. He left the rivers unbridged and the forests

unfelled and the cities unbuilt. God gives to man the challenge of raw materials,

not the ease of unfinished things. He leaves the pictures unpainted and the music unsung

and the problems unsolved, that man might know the joys and glories of creation.”

Evidence of God’s existence and creation is everywhere, so rich in beauty and perfect in function. As you know, creation is one of the characteristics that define God. We are all created to be like Him. We too can take matter without form and mold it into something new and more desirable. Most people think that they are not creative, but that is a mistake made by many because we are, in almost everything we do, using the ‘create•abilities’ that we possess.

My husband and I coined this word when we were creating a workshop that was designed to help each of us understand that we each possess the ability to be creative. We might not see it, but we all have it. When was the last time you created a simple or even a gourmet meal? Have you helped a child build a science fair project for school? Have you written a paper or article for a college class? Have you been prompted to do something special for someone in your neighborhood and had to come up with a good idea? How many of you have been trying to create homes filled with love and serenity? If you have done one of these or something similar, then you have been creative ... you have used your create•abilities.

SCULPT THE LIFE

We are carving souls, our own and others, every day. Do you recognize the opportunities for creation that are abundant in your life? What is something you can create with the abilities that God has given you? Let your fingers go deep into the clay of life and begin to sculpt the life that you have been longing for.

Do you see yourself waiting for life to get better before you can begin? Do you feel that you don’t have any idea what to do with the unformed clay or chaos that has been handed to you? Maybe you tried it once before and everything just fell apart?

I encourage you to begin now! You have been putting off the opportunity to sculpt or change your life for far too long! Why dwell in uncertainty or hardship when you have everything you need to make the changes you desire, or that your life requires? Don’t forget that there is always someone that will help you along the way.

I have loved that the last 10 years, the pursuit of coaches and mentors has been focused on helping people who are struggling to create the life they desire, to work through the challenges in their lives, and make the changes that will create a more enjoyable life ... a beautifully sculpted form. There is no shame in investing time and money in something that will bring good into your life instead of the unhappy or troubled things that are keeping you from all that God wants you to experience.

It’s a grand moment to change the course of our lives

to carve out a new life from the desires of our souls.

I invite you to rejoice in creation, change, and transformation, it is worth all that you choose to invest in it! My desire for this post today is to help you see that you are created by a God who loves you and desires that you learn to do the things that help you grow and change to become as He is. He has given you the tools to sculpt a better life. Focus on Him and His divine design for you ... focus on creating something remarkable, something of eternal significance ... something that will bring joy and gladness into your struggles.

God didn’t promise; days without pain, laughter without sorrow,

nor sun without rain, but He did promise;

strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.

We all experience hard and trying times. But once you understand the processes, you can work through the challenges and find light for your way. I was having one of those moments not too long ago. I was hurt deeply and wondered why we have to experience hard times over and over. Then I remembered that God has given us everything we need to help us see the way and create a new path; we can move forward and create the miracles that will bring us back to Him.

The sad reality is if we as His children don’t accept the challenge or the ‘gift’ He offers to us, but murmur and begrudge the lives we have been given, we will never receive the reward He has for us.

What if you were to accept God’s challenge and turn to Him to see a more inspired path through His perspective, you will have His divine light to show you the gift instead of the challenge. Multiply your gift through your create•abilities and make it more glorious, instead of fear and dread, you will be excited for His return. He will see that you have chosen to magnify your creator within and have increased 10 times the value of the ‘gift’ that was given. Blessings will come to those who try their best. You are the creator of your divine destiny!

How glorious it will be when you receive the reward of His embrace and His words telling you that you have been faithful and that you can enter into His joy!

Every choice you make, to change your life for the better, becomes the blessing you are needing at the time. SOMETHING NEW!!

You have probably noticed that I have been falling short in getting my BLOG posts up on my website. It’s not because I am not focused, but just the opposite. I have had several people tell me that they would like to see me put my concepts and training ideas into a book. I was surprised as I hadn’t even thought about writing a book, but the more I thought about it I liked the idea and have been trying to pull some ideas and thoughts together to accomplish that purpose. Needless to say, it has been a bigger task than I thought.

I could actually use your help. I would like to ask you, my friend and supporter, to help me by sharing your personal stories that I could put into my book. These stories would help illustrate the concepts I am writing about. (Of course, there will be a little reward for anyone that is willing to share:)) This has been a grand adventure for me and I am looking forward to finishing up the book and getting it launched as soon as possible for you to enjoy.

This month I am looking for someone to share their personal story and answer a couple of questions that I can use in my book to help me illustrate the concepts I will be covering. These stories can have your name on them if you would like or I can label them as ‘anonymous’.

The first personal story I need is on ‘Co-creating with God’. How have you created a better circumstance in your life because you turned to God, your Creator, for inspiration and direction, to see your challenge in a new light ... a divine perspective?

A second topic for personal stories is ‘Awakening to your discontent’. What experience have you had that became an awakening that your life wasn’t going the way you had hoped it would? Was there something that helped you to turn things around so you could experience a different outcome?
