Invitation to Dream
Happy are those who dream!!
My husband and I have created this Website “Be UNSHAKEN” for those who want ‘more’ out of life!
You will see that this website is NEW! And it is….but I have been posting blogs and have taken many of you on ‘Journeys’, and have shared my watercolor artwork for many years…up until now…and we have loved sharing all of it with you.
My husband and I took 2 years off to fulfill a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We came back wanting to create a new Website that would be the platform for us to share the things we’ve learned through our life experiences, which I’m sure are not so different from the joys and struggles that you have experienced in your lifetime. We are feeling so blessed and loved by our Heavenly Father and we have learned through our trials to see hope in every challenge that we face.
Now our goal is to help others see the possibilities and opportunities in the challenges they face. We would love to begin a new journey that will help you to learn to dream again.
We all have dreams and want to fulfill them…but, does it seem that your dreams are too hard to pursue, too frightening to even think about?
I have had a dream for a ‘home of my own’ for the past 2 years that, in my mind, was definitely something I couldn’t manage on my own. The closer we got to the time for my dream to become reality, the more impossible it seemed to be. I knew that it would take nothing more than a miracle for it to happen!
Does this sound familiar? If you were to look back, are there some dreams that you let go of because it seemed so impossible?
I have found that it’s too easy to put our dreams on the back burner and forget them….to turn them loose and let them fly away. We usually become tired of the constant battle, we feel alone in our desires, not to mention that we feel that we don’t have sufficient finances or energy, or… health to make anything happen!
I can honestly say that for years, I had stopped dreaming…until I came across a quote from Elder Jeffery R. Holland. It stopped me in my tracks and life has been a new, empowering story since then. He taught me that:
“God is anxiously waiting for the chance to answer your prayers and fulfill your dreams, just as He always has. But He can’t if you don’t pray and He can’t if you don’t dream. In short, He can’t if you don’t believe.”
So let’s DREAM a bit! Let’s try to believe so that we can discover the dreams God wants to give to each one of us!
BTW - I did see my dream for a ‘home of my own’ come into reality and I am in awe as I count the miracles that came daily so that I could have my dream…an impossible dream which I choose to believe in!
My new dream… is to help you move into a world where you can discover your dreams, the ones where you are strong and ‘Unshaken’, the ones where you know that miracles truly do happen and you know that God does truly answer your prayers!
